Personal Description:

I am a qualified Spanish and English tutor based in Cork City. I have a wide knowledge about language, as I have studied several second languages (English, French, Italian, German and Irish). I have several years' experience mainly teaching adults. I have a passion for teaching and learning and love getting to know different cultures. I am patient, organised and resourceful and like to create a relaxed and dynamic environment in which students can express themselves freely.

Tutoring Experience:

Spanish Language Teacher (2024-present): teaching Spanish language to undergraduate and adult students of mixed backgrounds, marking their work and assessing them.

English Language Teacher (2018-2023): taught English as a second language to international students from all over the world, planned lessons and assessed students' progress.

Spanish Teaching Assistant at St Angela's School, Waterford, Ireland (2015-2016): worked with high school students of all years and helped them prepare for their Leaving and Junior Certs. I have experience teaching one-to-ones, small groups and larger groups.

Spanish Teacher at Waterford College of Further Education (2016): taught Conversational Spanish (A1) to a group of 15 adult students.

Approach to Grinds:

I see languages not only as a means of communicating with people, but also as a way of accessing their culture and beliefs, so I include cultural aspects in all my lessons. I am ready to prepare my lessons to the fullest standard, catering for your own needs.
