Personal Description:

I am a passionate and dedicated tutor with a strong academic background currently doing my undergraduate degree in Bcom Econometrics at the University of Johannesburg.My own academic journey and experiences taught me that perseverance and the right guidance are what unlocks a student’s full potential, I am deeply committed to helping my students not only improve their grades but have a genuine understanding and appreciation of their work. I believe every learner is unique, and I take great pride in tailoring my approach to meet their individual needs.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience in tutoring, working with students from lower grades throughout my high school years to assisting my peers in University. I also take great pride in being able to tutor and help the kids in my community during recess.

My tutoring philosophy is centred on building a strong, supportive relationship with each student. I begin by assessing their current understanding, identifying specific gaps in knowledge, and pinpointing any areas of difficulty. From there, I develop a structured yet flexible lesson plan that targets these areas while aligning with their school syllabus.
I focus on breaking down complex topics into manageable, easy-to-understand components, using real-world examples and interactive problems to solidity understanding. I emphasise critical thinking and problem-solving skills over rote memorisation, empowering students to become independent learners. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, which are essential steps in the learning process. I provide regular feedback and progress reports to ensure both students and parents are aligned and confident in the path forward.
