I am a chemistry graduate with 5 years of teaching experience. I am moving away from teaching in a school and starting a career in the NHS but I'd like to continue teaching in some form.
Over my years teaching, I have taught in various schools. My most recent two are Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Horncastle, Lincolnshire and Skegness Academy in Lincolnshire. As such, I have taught all manner of students from those who will struggle to even pass their GCSEs up to those who obtain a grade 9 with minimal effort. All the schools I've taught in have used AQA as their exam board for science so I'd be most suited to a student whose school also uses AQA.
I approach teaching as openly as possible. I don't want to just sit there and lecture my students, I like to know what they want to know. I would expect any potential tutee to come to me with an idea of where they want to start or where their weak areas are so that I can tailor my tutoring to their needs. I would like any tutee I have to have the drive to do well. I'm here to help them learn how to use their knowledge, not just to give them knowledge.
