Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am a qualified Primary School Teacher, specialising in Early years and KS1. Currently working in a school in Sutton Coldfield teaching Year One. I am very devoted to ensure your child receives the best possible support. I have a particular love for teaching reading and phonics. Reading is so important and through practical and engaging lesson I strive to promote a love of reading for all my students. As I work in Early Years and KS1 I do believe that practical resources are required to help a child to understand their learning. I can cater for all subjects in the primary curriculum up to the age of 9 (Year 4)

Tutoring Experience

My approach to Teaching and learning is about motivating and inspiring children. I firmly believe in using a child's interest to help them engage in learning. I am able to bring along practical resources, schemes of work, mock exams such as KS1 SATS and the phonics check and a range of books. Please feel free to ask me about any particular questions or topics.

Tutoring Approach

On our initial first meeting I provide an informal assessment so I can see what we are going to work on. I continually assess students to ensure I'm covering everything.
Lessons are relaxed and fun but we get lots done! I think it's really important to adapt to different students' ways of learning, so I understand that one technique doesn't suit everyone.
