Hi! My name is Abbie, I am a data analyst for the NHS and have a love for maths. I completed my degree in Applied Mathematics in 2022 and always enjoyed teaching people whatever their abilities.
I have a diverse background in tutoring and mentoring, beginning with supporting local kids and my peers with different abilities through A-Levels and GCSEs, particularly with Maths. Additionally, I have experience teaching violin and Judo, which allowed me to develop my ability to explain complex concepts clearly. At university, I expanded my skills by becoming a sound technician, where I also took on a coaching role, guiding others in the technical aspects. Currently, in my professional role, I supervise and support team members, further honing my leadership and teaching abilities.
My teaching approach is focused on being kind and supportive, ensuring that students feel comfortable and confident as they learn. I focus on using examples and past exam questions to help students understand how to apply theoretical concepts in practical situations. This method not only reinforces their understanding but also prepares them for real-world applications and exams. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.
