Adam Ahmad

I am currently working as a doctor in Lewisham and Greenwich Trust, where I have had experience of teaching medical students as well as fellow doctors. I've worked in a diverse range of departments from surgery to orthopedics.

Before my medical career, I completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton. and an MSc in Drug Design at UCL. I've got experience working in research, as a Research Assistant in a laboratory looking into the collection of pre-clinical data for multi-million-pound MRC funded TACTICAL clinical trial treating late-stage lung cancer using genetically modified mesenchymal stem cells (MSC's).

Outside of my career I enjoy playing football, tennis and rock climbing. I also write and produce my own music.

Tutoring Experience

I regularly run teaching sessions for my colleagues and for medical students in my current posting as a Junior Doctor. I have ran sessions on everything from Paediatric ADHD to Upper Abdominal Bleeding. Outside of my career, I regularly teach Maths and Science at KS3 and GCSE level in one-to-one and small group settings. I have experience teaching Maths A-level, Biology A-level and Chemistry A-level; preparing students to take their final exams and secure their university required grades. Finally, I have c. 5 years experience in supporting students to gain a place to study Medicine. This includes tutoring A-level topics but also preparing students in taking the GAMSAT and the UKCAT.

Tutoring Approach

I enjoy supporting students to do their very best and reach their potential and am happy to support students through a variety of options that suit. For example, I can offer intensive one week tutoring courses (2/3 hours per day), regular weekly sessions, twice weekly sessions and can offer sessions as 1:1 or for small groups.
