I hold a First-Class Honours Degree in Mathematics from the University of Southampton (2001). After graduating, I pursued a successful career in investment banking for 12 years, where I applied advanced mathematical and analytical skills to real-world financial problems. Following this, I ran my own business, further developing my communication, organisation, and mentoring skills.

Now, I am excited to return to my first academic passion — teaching mathematics — and to share my knowledge and experience with students.

Tutoring Experience

After graduating with a First-Class Honours Degree in Mathematics from the University of Southampton (2001), I built a successful career in the financial sector. I spent 12 years in investment banking, where I applied advanced mathematical reasoning, statistical modelling, and problem-solving to high-pressure, real-world situations. This experience gave me not only a deep appreciation of mathematics in action but also the ability to explain complex concepts with clarity and precision.

Following my time in banking, I established and managed my own business, where I developed strong communication and leadership skills, regularly mentoring and training others. These experiences have shaped my ability to break down difficult ideas, adapt to different learning styles, and help individuals grow in confidence.

Now, I bring this blend of academic excellence, professional expertise, and real-world application to my role as a maths tutor for secondary school, GCSE, and A-Level students. My goal is to make mathematics engaging, relevant, and accessible for every learner.
