I am a professional accountant and practitioner of what I can teach you. I frequently travel to Russian-speaking countries for work and my first degree was in Russian Studies.
I have taught my own children Russian and I frequently give lectures and training sessions to clients to help build their capacity, usually in accounting and financial reporting.
My aim is always to help the student make the knowledge stick for the rest of their lives. Therefore I use mnemonics and other devices to consolidate knowledge and build it up logically, layer by layer.
For Russian: we would focus on current, colloquial language or take a more academic approach as required. The objective would be to learn how to speak Russian as the Russians do while understanding the grammar really well.
For Business Related subjects we would focus first on the outcome(s) of the matter in hand. From there we would work backwards to explain, through models of activities and key concepts, how the desired results can best be achieved.
