I live in North London and throughout my life I have enjoyed maths. At school and college I did very well in Maths and it led me to become and electronics engineer with sound systems. I have also worked as a musician, mostly as a singer. My maths has always helped me in these things. I enjoy private tuition because I meet new people and constantly find new ways to explain ideas.
I have taught maths for many years keeping a close watch on developments in the various specifications. Most of my family are good mathematicians and I often speak to them about different ways of approaching mathematical problems.
I try to avoid formality, making sure both the student and myself are relaxed and the student can understand well what is being explained. I relate the maths I teach to everyday experiences as there are always times in life when understanding maths can help with everyday life. I also understand how important it is to do well in maths to help with future success
