I'm Alberto, an experienced tutor with a Master's degree in International Political Economy from King’s College London (Distinction) and a BA in Politics and Management from Queen Mary University of London (2:1). I’ve worked across research, policy, and political strategy—engaging with Parliament, think tanks, and media—which gives me a real-world perspective I bring into tutoring. I’m passionate about helping students succeed academically and feel confident in their own ideas.

Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years of tutoring experience across GCSE, A-Level, and university levels. I specialise in Politics, History, and Economics, as well as English (especially essay writing and critical thinking). I’ve helped students raise their grades, prepare for exams, and improve academic writing for coursework and dissertations. My background in public affairs and research allows me to bring depth and real-world examples into our sessions, making the material more engaging and memorable.

My approach is practical, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I believe that the best learning happens when students understand not just what they’re studying, but why it matters. With a background in political research, public affairs, and campaigning at a national level, I bring academic subjects to life by connecting them to real-world events, decisions, and debates.

For example, in Politics and Economics, I can draw directly on my work with MPs, policy think tanks, and campaign organisations to explain how theoretical concepts—like voting systems, inequality, or globalisation—play out in practice. In History or essay-based subjects, I help students develop arguments that are rooted in evidence but also sensitive to broader narratives and real-world implications.

Whether preparing for exams or tackling coursework, I focus on building students’ analytical thinking, clarity of expression, and confidence in their ideas—so they not only improve their grades but also grow as independent thinkers.
