Hi Everybody,
I’m Alex and I’m a fully qualified teacher with experience in tutoring in preparation for entrance exams - especially for the Trafford Grammar Schools.

I also tutor children who need to revise or consolidate their day-to-day lessons.
I offer personalised learning to suit all primary ages and up to year 10 maths.

I’ve got a postgraduate diploma in teaching maths as well as a MA in teaching English. I specialise in teaching Maths using concrete approaches to build confidence with numbers and building number sense before moving towards abstract representations.

I provide tuition for children of all abilities for ages 5-14 in Maths and English and specialise in exam preparation, especially 11+.
I’ve got a good few years of experience and practice in preparation for exams as well as booster sessions to complement and consolidate learning.
With Summer just round the corner, your child may need an extra sessions to prepare for September exams. I’m here to help.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught a variety of subjects across primary school as I worked in different primary schools for over 10 years. I have taught English to speakers of other languages whilst I was living in Spain and Poland, both children and adults. I have years of experience of preparing children for the 11+ Exam and I have provided tuition for children from ages 5-14 in Maths and English.

Reading for fun and vocabulary extensions.

Exam preparation- entrance exams to Trafford and Stockport Grammar School, verbal and non verbal reasoning, English and Maths.
