Alex

My name is Alex and I am currently a Manchester based Secondary Mathematics Teacher. I am passionate about ensuring learners achieve their full potential and recognise that some students find Maths challenging. I have a wealth of teaching experience, also tutoring all levels up to and including A-Level. I am confident that my personable and articulate approach to tutoring sessions will directly correlate with improved performance in Maths irrespective of prior ability level.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a teacher for six years and my current role is Head of KS3 Maths. Having completed my formal studies with a BSc Hons degree in 2018, I then achieved my teaching qualification via Teach First's leadership development programme. I achieved my masters in education whilst working in my current school. I have been judged to be an outstanding classroom practitioner and this is supported by my students achieving excellent GCSE results.

Tutoring Approach

Currently working in a school allows me to stay on top of the latest pedagogical trends and form a deep understanding of how pupils learn. My student centred approach is tailored to the needs of each individual student and allows me to quickly form a positive and professional relationship when tutoring.
