Alex's Feedback

Alex has been helping my 16 year old daughter prepare for her GCSE Maths. He is extremely professional but also warm and encouraging. In just a few sessions, he has already helped our daughter to develop her understanding of various topics. He has helped her to realise the extent of her own ability which has really boosted her confidence with the subject. Alex is kind and patient and our daughter finds her tutor sessions very engaging and she looks forward to them. I would highly recommend Alex as a tutor.

Alex is providing A Level Chemistry support for my son, he has quickly built trust and found the best approach to engage with him. He shares the same passion for the subject and is helping him address key gaps in his knowledge. Originally my son was predicted an A, his goal is to achieve an A*, I am sure with Alex's support he will achieve this grade.

Alex has been a real Godsend. My son had lost all his previous passion for chemistry due to a very uninspiring teacher, and his grades were flagging worryingly. A few sessions with Alex and things are definitely turning round! At a recent patents’ evening the uninspiring school chemistry teacher told us how well our son was doing, how much his work and in particular his classroom participation had improved and how our son was “proving her wrong” (she had assumed he “lacked interest” in chemistry. Our boy is really enjoying his lessons with Alex and regaining the confidence and interest he had lost - and his rising grades are testament to that. Thankyou, Alex - we will definitely be retaining you through year 11! Highly recommend!

Alex has been extremely good with my son, who lost a lot of confidence and motivation during the lockdown period. He responds well to Alex's teaching and encouragement. Realistic goals are set and expected to be met. Alex is very organized, patient and firm and seems to have an ability to engage with and inspire his students.
