Feedback:
This is a reference to say that we were thoroughly delighted with Alex as a Maths tutor.

He was always on time, reliable, and knew the syllabus or GCSE, A levels and SAT He taught my son, how to work out, and solve every maths problem that could ever come up, and understood my sons way of learning. I feel it is very important to understand the pupil, and Alex knew how to do this and help my son J reach his potential.

Thank you! M received A*'s in all her exams and R received a B in Maths! (GCSE Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)

I am very proud of my daughter's results, thank you very much for helping them and encouraging them to reach high!!!

- GC (A-level Maths)

Alex is wonderful with pupils, patient, and will go through everything an exam requires, even suggesting what calculators and pencils etc are needed.

I recommend, him without hesitation, and know we were lucky to find him.

- MP (A-level Maths)

Thank you, I just opened my results and I'm really pleased. I got an A in maths!! Which I was really surprised because I thought the exam hadn't gone too well. Individually I got, A in C1, B in C2, and A for stats.

For my other subjects I was also very pleased.
Thanks so much for all your help and helping me prepare for these, I couldn't have done it with out you.

- M (A-level Maths)

Thanks again for all your help, honestly don't think I couldn't have got there without your help Alex!

Tutoring Approach

My first action when working with a new student is to identify any weaknesses or difficulties the student might have and to address any issues as soon as possible to improve the student's confidence in the subject. I take great care in using several methods to make sure that the student understands the topic, as each student has their own way of learning and understanding. I have previously tutored several students at Eton College, Dulwich College, Brighton College, Collet Court, Imperial College, Oxford, MPW and JAGS. Many of the students I have tutored in the past few years were able to gain admission to many reputable universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Harvard, UCL and Imperial College.

Having initially trained as an assistant lecturer at the University of Aberystwyth, I regularly attend courses and lectures in the UK to keep abreast of new techniques and pedagogy.

I am continuously training and have only recently completed the Lerning How to Learn MOOC course provided by the University of San Diego with Dr Barbara Oakley.
