During my Monday to Friday, I am a Principal Engineer where I lead a team of engineers, so I am comfortable with mentoring those looking to kick start their career in the industry. I'm happy to also provide advice with interviewing and CV preparation when the time comes.
Over a decade of industrial experience, working in the City. Varying from fast-paced early stage start ups where I have written new products from scratch to large enterprise companies. I specialise in FinTech (Financial Technology) but have worked across other industries, eg. Music, Trading, and Supermarkets.
I graduated from Queen Mary, University of London, with a BSc in Computer Science. As part of my degree, I was a Teaching Assistant for multiple courses, mentored as part of the PASS scheme (Peer-Assisted Study Support) and worked in industry for a year.
I'm happy to follow a syllabus or be more specific about any coursework or dissertation that a student needs help with. Alternatively, I'm happy to take a full-lead approach to teaching a wide range of skills and have exercises ready to hand. I like to understand what my pupils are having difficulty with within the first few lessons and use this as a guide when teaching them.
