I am a highly experienced tutor and teacher with over 15 years of experience. I tutored extensively before becoming a teacher in 2010. Since then I have had great success as a teacher and tutor. Students and tutees have consistently achieved grades significantly higher than their target grades. My last GCSE class achieved an average of two grades higher than their target grades, and my last GCSE tutee was given a grade 6 as their Centre Assessed Grade, and in a matter of months improved to a grade 9 with me. Please note that I offer online tuition only. This is so that I can spend more time marking homework and preparing quality resources for my students. This is a proven system that gives your child the best possible chance of success.
I have taught and tutored for over ten years, with fantastic outcomes throughout. I am currently working at a highly successful (top 75 in the country) secondary Academy in East London, as a Vice Principal with responsibility for Curriculum and Assessment. I have a deep knowledge of the GCSE and A Level Maths curricula, and extensive experience of the latest pedagogic research, having been Head of Department for five years before taking on my current role.
I have very high expectations of my students and genuinely believe that all students can succeed. However, this success only comes if students are willing to work hard and apply themselves. I provide a lot of support, focus on core knowledge but also push my tutees to spend a significant amount of time revising and working between sessions. This is balanced by a warm and friendly approach that ensures that my tutees want to work hard for me.
