Alex is an excellent tutor.

He is professional in everything he does and his planning, organisation and delivery are all top tier.

Alex sought quickly to identify gaps/shortfalls in my sons knowledge (and understanding) and based his workplan on this. Online delivery is through several appropriate mediums and this helps with the success of the tutoring. Homework is set for each session and once submitted this is promptly marked, returned and reviewed.

What differentiates Alex though is his extensive knowledge and tutoring approach.

The former is first class and everything a parent and tutee would wish for. On tutoring, Alex explains well and ensures understanding and in turn, progress. Where areas can be gotten through quickly, they are. Where other areas are trickier for my son, Alex will walkthrough/illustrate these in several ways to again ensure the understanding. Revision/recaps are undertaken periodically to ensure the knowledge “has stuck” and as the parent I really do like this. Importantly Alex is personable and my son likes him and the lessons; without this there would be no success.

It follows that we are extremely pleased with Alex and would highly recommend him to anyone considering a Maths tutor!

This is a very late review but Alex was a great help with my year 1 Analysis module and was great at explaining things in a simple and clear way. I managed to get a good mark in the module after just a few long sessions with Alex, before which I was failing miserably trying to understand the content.

Alexander has been an excellent tutor for Ed, to support him with maths and physics at A level. His teaching and guidance in the 2 subjects has been exceptional. Ed told me when he first started tutoring him, he learnt more in an hour with Alexander than in several weeks at school. The new found confidence Alexander has given our son in Maths and Physics is fantastic to see. We hope to continue with the home tutoring to support Ed in these subjects with Alexander.
