I have a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester, and I have been training academically excellent students for international computer science competitions for more than 6 years. I have in-depth knowledge in a wide range of computer science topics and technologies: data structures and algorithm design, AI/ML, Java, Python, C++, SQL, etc.
I was primary instructor for gold medal winner at the Interantional Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2020.
I mentored several students that reached the highest division (Platinum) of the United States of America Computing Olympiad (USACO). I was also primary instructor throughout a student's journey from the bottom USACO division (Bronze) all the way to the top Platinum division.
Several of my mentees with excellent competitive programming results got admitted to highly prestigious universities in the US and the UK.
I have also been teaching assistant during my PhD studies, helping university students to understand the science underpinning their lab assignments.
From my experience, a problem-solving approach is the best way to ensure the student truly understands the knowledge that is passed onto them. During my lessons we usually discuss via Skype problems tailored to the student's current level and needs. We design and implement the solutions collaboratively by writing code in a shared document/IDE environment.
