Alishba

Alishba teaches my  8 year old (autistic) son maths she engages with him to express himself openly through games and play-time and uses visual prompts and queues. She is patient and encouraging, takes her time with Huzaifa and actively controls and manages Huzaifa well even when he runs away! he responds well to Alishba

Over the last year lessons have been fun and interesting with Alishba. She has engaging in her methods to teach, she used her caring personality to reduce my anxieties and irritability to ensure I was calm enough to focus. It was not always easy. She challenged me intellectually as well as mathematically and was at times very firm when needed to be. She is underrated and I want to say thank you for all your help now I am studying business Business Management at London School of Economics.

Alishba has spent 3 lessons with my daughter and she’s been an absolute delight. My daughter is already gaining in confidence and seems very happy that her Maths is little by little making far more sense than before. My daughter has always fought against tutoring in the past but with Alishba it’s totally different. She’s worked out how to explain an motivate her and she’s been happy with her lessons to date.
Alishba has great communication and is reliable, she’s a great young lady and always arrives with a smile on her face.
I hope that Alishba will stay with my daughter through her GCSE’s and beyond if required.

Alishba I thank you for being so patient and understanding when it comes to teaching. You’re excellent at explaining step by step methods to working out maths problems and you write out your notes so neatly and logically which I really appreciate as I can always go back to them for reference. You do what many teachers fail to do which is thoroughly explain an answer to a question even if it takes a bit longer than expected; without rushing through the working out and leaving the me confused. You’re also great at approaching a question in a different way if I don’t understand it the first time. I can honestly say I am very grateful that I have you as my tutor and I’m sure that you can tell that I’ve most certainly made progress in my maths skills thanks to your help!
