I am a married lady, who lives in Hollywater, Hampshire. I love: walking; quizzes; dogs and horses, and Mathematics!!
I was a Secondary School Mathematics Teacher from 1989 to 2012, working in 5 different schools altogether. In the summer of 2012 I decided to quit the 'chalk board/white board' face(!) and become a private Maths tutor.
For the last 10 academic years I have tutored a wonderful bunch of students - mainly helping them prepare for their GCSEs, as well as a smaller number of Key Stage 3 students, including a 13+ common entrance student.
I have been a marker for Key Stage 3 SATS, and I am currently a GCSE marker. I am currently a tutor for Pearson and Reed within the National Tutoring Programme.
I would like to think that I am a very approachable, patient and fun tutor who tries to see the problems that the students are facing from their point of view. I really believe that tutoring comes down to ensuring that the student feels absolutely confident with working with me, and that I believe I can work successfully with the student to help them achieve their desired grade or goal.
