Alistair's Feedback

Alistair is a very, very good tutor. We are delighted to have found him. He immediately put my daughter at ease with his friendly approach. My daughter is studying A level Geography (Edexcel) and Alistair, as Head of Humanities in his school, is teaching this syllabus on a daily basis. He therefore has a fountain of knowledge about the subject, all topics, exams and exam technique and great advice regarding the NEA coursework. Alistair LOVES geography and he is allowing my daughter to fall in love again with the subject. He is enthusiastic and passionate abut the subject and his energy makes the 1 hour session fly by. Really looking forward to another year with Alistair and I'm sure we will see excellent results. We would definitely recommend him and wish he taught in my daughter's school. His school kids are very lucky to have him.

Alistair is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable tutor. My daughter is doing an a level slightly late but Alistair made the lessons very enjoyable and accessible and gave resources which were really useful. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

My daughter has dyslexia and Alistair's approach has been excellent. He is supportive and friendly, whilst taking the time to break things down and explain them in a way she can understand. She is in her final year of A 'levels and Alistair has really lifted her confidence, working with her on exam technique and helping her understand how to approach the longer answers. He has made himself available at short notice and has also been invaluable for her wellbeing. I personally cant thank him enough and strongly recommend him as a tutor for Geography A 'levels.

Alistair is an excellent tutor. He has only been working with my son for a few weeks, but he very quickly developed a rapport with him and an understanding of what his strengths are, and what areas of weakness to focus on. He is very friendly, reliable and has been flexible about our requests to adjust lesson timing. He has provided my son with additional resources for exam practice and given very supportive feedback on answers to past papers. He is really encouraging my son, identifying areas he is doing well at, which is building his confidence. I have no doubt that he will make a significant difference - we are so glad we found him!

My son has had some wonderful revision sessions with Alistair in the run up to his A-Levels. Alistair is engaging, enthusiastic, approachable and his breadth of knowledge for his subject is inspiring… and 17 year olds can be a tough audience!!
Alistair has been so supportive and positive, guiding Thomas through the tricky run up to exam season with invaluable resources, revision tips and fantastic advice on exam technique across all 3 papers. Thomas has grown in confidence and to hear him talk so positively and confidently about his A Level Geography has been such a joy!

Alistair has increased my confidence, appreciation and enjoyment of geography since we began lessons, and his enthusiasm for the subject makes the learning so much more enjoyable! His clarity with explaining topics I struggled with is excellent, and he always makes an effort to ensure I have fully understood the information. He uses a great mix of teaching methods and has made each session really enjoyable, whilst also being really flexible with lessons and generous with his time. Thank you so much!

Alistair is extremely helpful and understanding and has some very useful ways of remembering information. He is very accommodating and we are really pleased to have him.

I am really impressed with Alistair's professionalism, subject knowledge and explanation of exam techniques. More importantly, however, my son really enjoys the sessions and is making excellent and noticeable progress as a result. He is much more motivated when he works with Alistair and the tips and techniques he has been given, he has applied to his mock exams with impressive results.
Alistair is encouraging and down to earth and has developed an excellent rapport with my son. Getting him to revise is normally painful but he actually enjoys the tutoring sessions immensely.
I would happily recommend Alistair and I'm glad we started the tutoring sessions early as I think this provides the best opportunity for Alistair to find the strengths in my child and the areas he needs to focus on/ gaps in his subject knowledge with plenty of time for him to address any needs.

When my 12 year old son started with Allistair, I was not sure about the outcome because my son did not like Geography at all. But now, my baby can't stop talking about it and about his tutor who makes the subject more fun and interesting and easier for him to understand. If I had to give an advice, Mr Alistair is the best tutor my son had and don't hesitate to request his services. 10/10.

I have found Alistair to be extremely helpful. He always arrives on time and delivers that little bit extra. His teaching is of really good standard and he always takes his time by explaining things clearly at my pace. I feel more prepared and confident now to sit my GCSE Geography exams.
