Although I graduated from the University of Wales in 1996, I have maintained my knowledge of Spanish through watching movies, reading books, magazines and watching YouTube videos for advanced Spanish listening . I have tutored my own children and those of friends for GCSE and Advanced Spanish.
For the past four months approximately, I have been teaching beginners' Spanish, voluntarily at a local community centre for three hours every week. I have found this to be a very rewarding experience and have enjoyed seeing my students' progress. I have enjoyed meeting new people and assessing their level of Spanish and tailoring my content accordingly. I mix grammar, comprehension and listening practice for maximum effect.
I have previously taught Spanish to advanced level which I found to be hugely rewarding and stimulating for me.
Mixture of traditional and modern methods integrating grammer with language. This will include traditional methods such as textbooks and worksheets but more modern methods such as YouTube videos, magazine articles and excerpts from films to help explain grammer and language in action.
