My name is Alston Removed and I am a 2nd year medical student at the University of Bristol. I have lived in the UK since the age of 5 and have attended school here so I am comfortable with the style of teaching here and am able to replicate and build upon that in my lessons. In my free time I enjoy activities such as playing cricket, dancing and speedcubing.
I have been a tutor for medic mind for close to 2 years and I also conduct private tuition classes for a wide range of students also ensuring that I facilitate their learning needs to the best of my ability. I have carried out tutoring for a multitude of subjects also ranging from Biology and Chemistry to German and Geography so I consider myself to be fairly competent in helping students learn a variety of subjects.
My teaching approach usually revolves around how the student believes that they learn best, be this doing past papers, going through flashcards, reviewing mind maps or even be it being taught the content again. I believe that I would aim to enhance the students learning by focusing my lessons on the areas of the subject the find they are the weakest on and strengthening those through various learning techniques and then through the use of past papers to reinforce what they have learnt.
