I am originally from Canada but I have lived and taught in Milton Keynes for almost 10 years. I spent 1 year living in Japan to teach there, too. I enjoy many things that life has to offer - traveling, outdoors, music and crafts (and being a teacher and a mother, I also love coffee). I have a 1.5 year old son but during tutoring hours, he will either be at nursery or with my husband.
I have worked in primary schools across Milton Keynes for almost 10 years. Throughout my teaching career, I have done various types of tutoring, ranging from ages 5-15. Prior to this, I studied at University and specialised in English literature, however I have passions for other subjects, such as Maths, Science and Geography. I have also volunteered at schools in my late teens and have worked in a nursery in Canada.
Nothing is more important than the future generations. As a teacher and tutor, it is my job to help children develop a love for learning and become confident in their knowledge. Through various ways of teaching, I can find which method suits your child. For example, some children in my class learn through chants and songs, and others learn with visuals and simplified texts; other children are able to follow verbal instructions, while others need a practical demonstration first. I believe all children are capable to understand concepts (whether it is in English, Maths or another subject), but some just need the correct approach and a bit more time to do so.
Once I understand your child's needs, I can provide the materials needed for our sessions. If we do online sessions, we can discuss an arrangement for sending materials.
