I was that student who found Maths hard! Coupled with being a qualified teacher I understand how my students feel. My aim is to be that teacher who turns it around for them!
As a qualified teacher (18+ years) and tutor (8+ years), I know how to identify exactly what students need and how to map that to what schools expect from them.
I hope my detailed profile helps you understand whether I’m the right tutor for your child.
As well as helping children who need support and confidence in their daily studies, I have experience in preparation for 11+, SATs and KS 3 Maths exams.
Target schools I support:
St. Alban's High School for Girls
Aldenham School
St. Helen's, Northwood
St Margaret's, Bushey
Northwood College
Haberdashers' Boys/Girls
John Lyon
Merchant Taylors
NLCS
Royal Masonic School
Watford Grammar
Am I the right tutor for you?
Something I can promise is that I will always put the best interests and needs of your child first.
This means being completely honest with you every step of the way, even if it means having a tricky conversation.
I also believe in making learning engaging - students can have fun while learning - and in my experience, this leads to confidence and motivation.
What people say
My profile here is relatively new, so I don’t have any reviews on FirstTutors yet. But here are some kind words from existing and past parents:
Amalie has really improved my son's confidence and enjoyment of learning. I would highly recommend her expert tuition.
Amalie is a very good teacher. My daughter in Year 7 enjoys her lessons. She is well organised and provides excellent notes as well as feedback on the areas of improvement. I highly recommend her.
