Amelia

Hi, my name is Amelia and I am a recent graduate in Human Sciences from Mansfield College at the University of Oxford.

Human Sciences is an interdisciplinary degree, encompassing a broad range of topics, ranging from the biological sciences, geography and social sciences, therefore I have developed a strong grounding and broad understanding for a variety of topics and modules throughout my studies.

From a young age I have always had a passion for learning and exploring new ideas and topics, achieving all A*s at A-level and A*s and an A at GCSE level.

Coming from a state school with few Oxbridge alumni, I can understand the challenges that come with revision and writing university applications. As a result, access is extremely important to me, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping other students achieve their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have recently gained a TESOL qualification after teaching English in rural Thailand. I loved this opportunity to create fun and engaging English lessons for the students.
I have also had experience tutoring GCSE Science.
My GCSEs and A-levels consisted predominately of AQA, although I would be happy to consider tutoring other exam boards upon request.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is very flexible, and can adapt to the needs of my students. My lessons can involve, assessing the students concerns, prioritising areas of weakness, clarifying questions, providing feedback to written work, creating mock questions and going through model answers.
