I am a native and highly qualified professional Spanish teacher with more than 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience, in Spain and UK. I teach Spanish as a second and foreign language. I consider myself a caring and empathetic tutor and teach all levels of Spanish from teenagers to retirees .
I am the proud mum of 3 children all of whom are bilingual. I tutored my children and their friends for their Spanish GCSEs and A levels
I am a professional with 32 years’ extensive experience teaching Spanish, ranging from being a visiting Spanish Lecturer at St Mary’s University in Twickenham, to founding my own Hispanic Cultural Association, 'La Puerta Azul', where I teach Spanish to adults. I also organize a wide variety of cultural activities for the Latin Community and Students of Spanish.
After finishing my Degree I started teaching Spanish Language and Literature in Malaga, Spain.
Years later I moved to England and worked for St Mary’s University College teaching Spanish to undergraduates. I then spent 8 years teaching Spanish as a second language at Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College.
I am highly experienced in both GCSE and A-Level tutoring, having worked at Putney High and RHACC as a Spanish GCSE and A-Level Teacher. I am well informed of what is required of the students as I also worked as a Spanish A-level Oral Examiner in Ealing, London
I teach all DELE levels from Spanish A1 to C2 for Adult learners.
My classes are tailor made to the needs of each individual student according to their level and pace. Lessons are dynamic and I aim to transmit my passion for languages through my teaching. My main objective is for learning to be both fun and useful. I work with real life situations and current vocabulary so that the student can communicate in Spanish from day one. When learning a language it is not only important to learn the grammar, but also to be able to communicate and fully understand the interlocutor. My job is to give my students the necessary tools to be able to learn and enjoy themselves at the same time, making them feel at ease and secure in a relaxed environment, primarily so that teaching is a pleasure, not a chore.
I am proud to have successfully tutored all of my students to achieve their full potential and pass all their exams.
