I am an English and Science tutor who also works as a Bioanalytical Scientist in a pharmaceutical company. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human and Medical science and therefore have a particularly good knowledge and understanding of Biology and Chemistry.
I am passionate about teaching as it is one of the professions that challenges you to organise your thoughts and gives you an opportunity to make a subject fun for the students and therefore make the experience unforgettable and rewarding.

I strongly believe that, in order to understand any subject, you should build a strong foundation first by learning and clearing the basic concepts and then build up on it. Therefore, as a teacher, I aim to help my students build strong concepts by not only providing the knowledge but also breaking it down to its simplest form and to make it easier to understand.

Tutoring Experience

I have 6 months experience working as a cover teacher for various secondary schools and a year's experience as a TEFL teacher. I have been mentoring and tutoring secondary, GCSE and A level students since my university years.

Tutoring Approach

I am happy to help children of all levels from KS1 to A-levels who are struggling or need extra motivation.

Since every student is different, I adjust my teaching techniques as per the requirements. My strategy is simple, I begin by testing the basic concepts, identify and setup a study plan to ensure students understand and learn topics.
Depending on student’s specification and weak topics I can plan lessons to suit individual style of learning by either providing extra support and material or by going over the topic again to make it simpler and easier to understand. Through my experience in labs, I like to use real life examples and videos, wherever possible to help my students with their curriculum.
