Within my tutoring, I attempt to make the curriculum as accessible and interesting to each individual as possible. This involves a great deal of differentiation and personalisation in order to ensure that my students remain engaged, whilst continuing to develop their knowledge. I have a great deal of experience in teaching Key Stage 3-5, with most of my experience lying in the AQA, Eduqas, Edexcel and OCR specification.
I am a fully qualified English teacher and tutor, who has been conducting one to one tutoring in Norwich since February 2017.
I have previously been hired by a local Norfolk school to complete tutoring at home with students in order to strengthen their knowledge of the curriculum; it has been a pleasure to see these young adults blossom with their increasing confidence and understanding of English!
In recent years, I have acted as an external examiner and marked papers for GCSE English Language for AQA, allowing me to continue to build on my experience so that I can make the mark scheme and examiner's expectations more accessible to my students.
I recognise that each student's experience of education is unique and my sole focus is to make sure that I can prepare my students as much as possible whilst they gain a new appreciation as to what the English curriculum can offer. I want to ensure that I train a future generation to adapt these skills in order to create the best versions of themselves.
