I am an English Literature graduate currently studying for a postgraduate degree in Modern and Contemporary Literature. I am passionate about literature, reading and writing and hope to not only tutor my clients but show how fun English can be. I am DBS checked.
I have experience in peer and reading mentorship and am keen to work with others to help them achieve their fullest potential, all whilst inspiring a love of reading and words!
I have experience in-
- Reading mentorship.
- Writing both academically and for more casual purposes.
- Editing.
- Tutoring primary age children.
My teaching methods are flexible and take a wide range of approaches, as I understand the need to work at a pace that suits you! I will allow you to approach me with what you feel you need help with, and we can work through it at a guided pace or help to work towards a deadline if needed. I do this by using the first couple of sessions as a way to gauge your knowledge and what you need help with.
A typical lesson would be around 45 minutes. However, they could be longer if you feel this is necessary.
Lessons may include additional help with subject areas you are struggling with, some pre-prepared practical tasks, reading together and room for any questions.
I can tutor any age from primary to A-level, but do ask that I be contacted if there are specific requests!
