I am an experienced Head of Geography/Humanities and have taught at large comprehensive and private schools in Surrey and London. I have privately tutored for 10 years with over 150 students. I am now based in Liverpool and am a Head of Humanities at a leading grammar school in the North West. My Geography department has a fantastic reputation for making Geography lessons exciting, informative and an environment where every person can make progress.

Tutoring Experience

Exam results 2024 were excellent. All tutees grade A*/A AND 100% 8/9 at GCSE!

I have successfully taught up to Alevel/GCSE Geography for 18 years across all exam boards- Edexcel, AQA, Eduqas and OCR syllabus including international CAIM and IGCSE Edexcel. . I am currently Assistant Principal for Edexcel Geography and in the past have marked examinations for AQA across all the key stages. My exam results for both my department and from tutees this year have been outstanding with 90% receiving 8/9 grade at GCSE.

I have also successfully taught Cambridge GCE and IB Cambridge and entrance examinations for Year 9.

I have 5 years experience with University Undergraduate students evaluating and proof reading both human and physical Geography based dissertations.

Tutoring Approach

I have a plethora of experience guiding pupils through the exam process focusing on both content and exam skills. This is completed through a range of activities and learning experiences such as practice exam questions, modelling and revision techniques to ensure all pupils achieve their very best.
