My name is Anastasia Papanania and I originally come from Drama, Greece. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (4- year course) from the Department of Greek Philology of Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, in Greek Literature in Classical Specialization with an overall grade of 6.5/10, 2:1.
My interest in this subject area was first aroused during Secondary School, where I had been taught for the first time the Ancient Greek Language. Furthermore, during High School, I learnt the Latin language and I decided with conviction that this subject will be an important part of my life. I am very passionate and determined to dedicate my professional life to teaching.
At the moment, I study for my MA in Classics and Ancient History at Newcastle University. Last year I was working as a Teaching Assistant (TA) in a Severe Learning Difficulties School (STD) and as a Greek Language Teacher in Bromley Greek Language School. This allowed me to work towards enhancing my teaching and communication skills with children of different ages
and personality characteristics, as well as obtaining my Safeguarding Children Certificate, Asperger Syndrome Awareness Certificate and EYFS Teaching Diploma.
Always based on students' requirements, gaps and difficulties with as much interaction as possible.
