I am PhD student at Imperial College London. Originally from Cyprus, I have an undergraduate and first class masters in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. I really enjoy Biology and science in general, and like passing on my knowledge and experience to other people.
I have studied biology at GCSE and A level in school and through university. I specialised in genetics and cancer biology, but have experience in all areas of biology, from biochemistry to plants and ecology.
I have more than 5 years experience in helping students and classmates with A levels and GCSEs. I am also supervising undergraduate students at university level.
Because of my age, as well as my experience in working with students and other classmates, I know the areas that students find challenging. I also understand the different ways of thinking that can make someone understand something, and different ways to explain it.
Most importantly, I think that the best way to succeed is to love what you are doing. Therefore, I like bringing into the lesson things that will interest the students, such as wider applications or fun facts, that allow students to enjoy what they learn, and thus learn better
