I have been a highly successful teacher for 30 years. Great results and the head of a very high achieving department at Chepstow School.
I've decided to leap into the unknown and find a new path but I'm not ready to give up teaching completely. I love helping and inspiring young people and think that tutoring will be an ideal way to keep contact with a job that I love and which I am very good at (sorry about the self promotion!).
I have been a teacher for thirty years including the last 23 years at Chepstow School.
I have taught A levels in Economics, Politics and Business Studies and always achieved very good grades with my students. I have also taught GCSE's in Business Studies and Economics.
I have been an A Level examiner for many years and so understand the requirements of achieving high grades. I am able to use this knowledge and experience to aid students in approaching exam questions.
I plan to have fun while learning. I have built up a tremendous catalogue of resources over the years and am able to provide first rate tutoring.
I plan to focus on the areas that the student is finding the most difficult and ensure that subject knowledge is sound in every area of the specification. I also believe very firmly that the best way to ready yourself for a public examination is through the use of exam questions.
I model A grade answers for my students so that they can see how to structure a good answer and we can improve exam technique incrementally.
