Andrew tutored my son in politics. My son found Andrew helpful both in learning the subject and also in exam technique building his confidence and enabling him to go into the exams with confidence.

Andrew is tutoring my son to complete his Politics A level in a year and he is a perfect fit for my son. He is personable and kind and keeps my son interested. He also has the knowledge and experience to be able to be flexible on different ways of delivering the syllabus. He keeps my son focused on exam strategies and techniques and he feeds back on essays etc. He encourages my son to do some work on his own. It seems to me that this format suits the Politics A level in particular.

Andrew has provided excellent, targeted A level Politics support for my daughter. She consequently gained an A* in her year 12 exam. She will have some further support sessions as needed in year 13. I definitely recommend Andrew as a tutor. He has provided my daughter with access to lots of revision resources in addition to his excellent tutorials.

Andrew is a fantastic tutor. He was a huge help to my son studying both his Politics and Religious Studies (philosophy) A levels. really thorough tutor

Andrew was a philosophy tutor for my son doing A level philosophy. He is a pleasure to deal with, very efficient, punctual and reliable. He was able to impart his knowledge in a way that increased understanding and was mindful of exam board requirements. He definitely improved both my son's grasp of the subject and his marks at school. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

My son started studying for three A levels this February, in preparation for taking them in May. He was self-taught and taking them as an external student. When the philosophy teacher at the school found out, he said to my son, ‘You do realise that this is impossible, don’t you?’ which was understandably demotivating! However, we found Andrew online and everything changed.
Other tutors had not been prepared to work with a student who had had no conventional teaching, and in such a short space of time, but Andrew did not see this as a problem. He was supportive and encouraging, yet also very challenging, and did not accept anything less than my son’s best efforts. He was extremely patient but also quite ruthless in his expectations which was just what was needed. As a result, my son achieved grade Cs in all three in just over three months and this could not have been achieved without Andrew’s focused teaching.
My son looked forward to their sessions and was quite sad when they ended. He was stimulated by their discussions, whilst still being clear that he was preparing for the exams, and used the essay technique in all of his subjects.
Andrew made the impossible possible. Complete value for money. I recommend him unreservedly.

Andrew kindly fitted my daughter in for revision just before A level exams , he was very good giving her good book suggestions for revision and was very reassuring and positive . We wished we had Andrew as Yas's tutor at a much earlier stage .

He went through each subject area she did not fully understand in a clear and succinct way and she found him both motivating and engaging. Thank you Andrew for tutoring me during my gap year. I was very pleased with the help you provided on how to structure my essays and the detailed feedback you gave my work which you felt would boost the grade. I liked that you used your own examples to explain some of the concepts like religious experiences. I felt that this as well as your guidance on structure helped me to make logical arguments and counter-arguments during my exam.
I did find that Skype lessons were a lot more challenging than the usual face to face tutoring, however this could not be helped and overall I was pleased with the support you gave me.
I was very happy with my results seeing as I improved from a C to an A, and I am grateful for your help in achieving this grade.

Within a few months of tutoring with Andrew, I was able to improve my D grades to A grade work in philosophy and politics. Andrew has great knowledge in these subjects and is able to simplify hard topics. As an examiner, he was able to solve my difficulty in understanding the vague mark schemes and finding model answers. Andrew showed me exactly what an A* essay looks like and how I can achieve it by correcting my essays and turning them into model answers himself. This made me realise how achieving A/A* grades is much easier than I thought!

This was also my first experience of online tutoring, I was very skeptical at first but quickly realised how time saving and useful it can be. I am still able to handwrite essays and receive feedback from Andrew by email before even starting the hourly skype sessions. This way I feel supported throughout the whole week.

A great teacher with very good subject knowledge; he is even more useful as a tutor because of his experience as an examiner with the board I am studying. He is also patient and reassuring with any topics that seem difficult at first sight so I have been happy with the service provided.
