I am a dedicated and competent teacher, with a natural ability to connect with all children, employing teaching methods that incorporate pupils from all backgrounds, whilst installing initiatives that reward and stimulate. My approach with a strong desire to help encourages all children to develop their education.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught/tutored for over 25 years in state and independent primary schools, private settings and recently online as well.
My main interest is the primary age, especially those who find Maths and English challenging. I have helped many children in Maths, Music, Phonics, Spelling and other interesting “subjects” like Brain Teasers.
I am always amazed when I see what a difference regular, personalised sessions can make not only in knowledge but also in confidence.

Tutoring Approach

I believe learning is the most successful and enjoyable when we have strong foundations. In this case, it is easy to build up knowledge as the next step comes almost naturally. Identifying and filling the gaps means that using my specialist skills and creative approach, each lesson is tailored to the child’s needs.
My reward is seeing the sparkle in children’s eyes when the learning clicks.
