Hi, my name is Angel Removed
I am a graduate in Biomedical Sciences and working full-time at North Bristol NHS Trust as a biomedical scientist. I have grown up in Bristol and am particularly local to Bradley Stoke. I particularly enjoy travelling, dancing and music. I chose to pursue tutoring during the lockdown as a way of helping and supporting children academically. I figured I love teaching and I love children, so why not in my spare time fuse these loves together and deliver enjoyable and educational tuitions for young people eager to do well in school, for amazing opportunities in the future.
Feel free to contact me, I'd be happy to help/have a friendly chat.
Although I am not a teacher or tutor by profession, since starting tutoring in 2020, my teaching experience has grown abundantly and I hope will continue to do so. I have helped tutor over 10 students of varying ages and abilities - KS2, KS3 and GCSE level. I have also helped students with their CV's, entry to secondary schools and universities.
I usually arrange lessons either in the evening and on weekends or occasionally in the morning, depending on flexibility. I am always happy to travel to my tutees' homes.
I have had several work experiences, jobs, and references which can be provided on request.
My teaching approach is very simple, solely based on "learn in such a way that it doesn't feel like studying." I believe with active note preparation, the right study skills, organization, and good time management, amazing outcomes can be achieved. I hope my teaching approach comes across as encouraging, good feedback, friendly, enjoyable, and well-disciplined. I have been in the same shoes as the children once were at one time so I have an understanding of how they feel, can provide any tips, teach them the loopholes and continue to maintain a good work ethic.
I mainly arrange a starter lesson where I meet the tutee and gage an understanding of what needs help or things they find challenging. I aim to help with revision, past paper questions, developing notes, and building confidence in certain subjects/areas. I have/bring my own resources but also ask students to have their own - including their school work, books and revision notes.
