Angela has been tutoring my 5-year-old son for the past five months, and I have been very impressed with her ability to handle and mould him. She is helping us prepare him for his 7+ exam in 2023, and we have already seen a material improvement in his writing and numerical skills. The lessons are well structured and are helping my son make incremental improvements in specific areas. I would highly recommend her.

Angela's tuition programme has been a wonderful help for my yr5 dd. It has helped my dd build up her confidence and skills, especially during this time of school closure. The tuition has been very well structured and tailored to my dd’s progress, picking up on problem areas when needed. There is the underlying progression towards sitting the 11+ in September, and Angela has already put in place the structured timetable of practice exams to provide her students the best opportunity possible. My dd has moved up into her y5 top quartile and her end of year report was a true reflection of her improved confidence and dedication to learning. Angela has been tutoring my son for just over a year to prepare for his 7+ assessments which he sat in January 2020. She quickly identified areas of development and worked with him on those which not only helped him improve, but also gave him confidence. She is always willing to guide and give advice so what she works on in her sessions can be worked on at home. The sessions were well structured and Angela always kept us informed of progress . My son also loved them and said he enjoyed them each week. In addition to the sessions, Angela runs interview practice which we found really helpful in getting my son to open up and communicate confidently.

Her approach and the practice worked wonders - he was offered places at all 3 schools he sat for - Bancrofts, Forest and Chigwell.

Angela has been an absolute godsend for my yr4 daughter. The tuition & guidance my dd has received has showed in the progress made at school & the improved reports she's received from her teachers. Angela has been a fantastic tutor guiding my son up to and through his secondary school entrance exams. My son really enjoyed his time with her, and sessions were always well structured, professional and motivating. Angela tutored my son for the 10+ entrance exam at CLS, and we are delighted that he has got a place. We made the decision to apply at the last minute, and had only a short time to prepare him - Angela was enormously helpful and supportive in preparing him for the exams.

Angela tutored our son for 3 months leading up to St Eds and Forest 11+entry examinations. We also did a number of interview practice sessions with her. The set up at her house provides a highly motivating and rich learning and feedback environment for the children. She often has a couple of students there and has a small team of helpers, some of which are successful candidates from previous years who help to mark and organise papers etc. This really worked for my son who is naturally competitive and found a number of the boys natural role models. Angela is highly organised and industrious. She has an intricate knowledge of the 11+ exams and individual school criteria. We went from a standing start to giving our son the best possible chance to succeed. Thank you for your professionalism - and also for your kindness and warmth towards our son.

My son is finding the Business Studies tuition a great help and feels he is gaining a better understanding of the subject which will prepare him for his exams next year.
She has been helpful in providing context that helps for long answer questions, by providing articles from newspapers as well as providing her own experience and situations based on the topics they cover in the lessons.

We only just started tutoring with Angela, but I was impressed with Angela's level of organisation. She prepared and planned my sons's lessons ahead of time, which meant that once they arrived, they immediately started working.

I was looking for one-to-one tuition after some negative experiences in our local group tuition center. I was looking specifically for someone who was experienced in the 11 plus examination.

Angela is an extremely professional and an experienced tutor. Angela has very thorough knowledge of the examination process and the necessary requirements - this is very helpful for parents, as it can be somewhat of a minefield.

Angela has prepared very bespoke tuition for my daughter, tailoring all subjects to her needs. Detailed homework is sent each week and specific feedback is given the following week.

In addition to this, Angela has a very nice nature and my daughter to keen to attend.

I would highly recommend Angela for anyone who wants their child to succeed!

I am now in a position to choose. I am under no illusion, this would not have been possible without the input of Angela. Asides from the quality and organisation of the weekly sessions and homework set, Angela also encourages confidence and composure amongst the children, which is fundamental in high pressure exam conditions such as the 11 plus. I am very pleased with the results and know I made the right choice with one-to-one tuition with Angela.

Updated on 17th Oct 2016 to add: My daughter just got her 11+ result from Woodford County Girls and we are delighted with her result which is comfortably within the range needed to apply for a place at WCG. I am quite sure that we owe a good part of her success to Angela's help and am very happy to recommend her tutoring service.
Angela has really helped my daughter progress since spring time. She quickly assessed where she needed to help my daughter cover the gaps in her knowledge. She also helped me work out how best to support my daughter at home. Angela uses a range of resources tailored to the needs of each student and sets a reasonable amount of homework. She gradually stepped up the intensity and depth of tasks over the months so that my daughter got used to completing a range of 11+ questions under time pressure. Angela has a number of previous students that volunteer for her and provide peer support to current students. I thought this was extremely helpful as my daughter got to speak directly with students who had been through the 11+, and who had successfully survived this intense experience. In essence, Angela is fiercely committed to the success of her students. With Angela's help I feel quietly confident that my daughter has peaked at exactly the right time and is likely to do very well when she completes her first 11+ exam this week. My daughter says that she enjoyed working with Angela and that she really helped to pinpoint the areas she needed help with. After only a few months’ tuition our daughter, Anna, passed her entrance exams at Forest and Bancroft’s – the only two she sat.

Angela was able to get Anna to focus on improving the core skills needed to pass the exams, as well as the educational elements of English and Maths: her improvement was visible on a week-by-week basis. The interview practice was also very helpful preparation.

Angela started tutoring Maths for Alicia about 4 weeks ago, in preparation for 11 plus in Sept 2014 and private school entrance exam in Jan 2015.
