As a mother of three grown-up children, I have a nurturing and caring nature that extends beyond my family to my beloved dogs and the tropical and marine fish I care for. Despite facing challenges with Mathematics during my school years, I persevered and eventually found a patient and understanding teacher who helped me build confidence in the subject during the final two years of my education. This positive experience has left a lasting impact on me and fuels my passion for helping others who may struggle with Math.

Tutoring Experience

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a specialization in Mathematics, I have been an integral part of the Maths Department in a Secondary school. Over the course of 15 years, I have successfully taught small groups of students, primarily focusing on GCSE level (Foundation) Mathematics. My expertise extends across all age groups, ranging from Year 7 to Year 11.

Throughout my teaching journey, I have also engaged in private tutoring for over 14 years, working closely with individual students. It brings me immense joy to witness my students achieve their academic goals under my guidance and support.

For GCSE students, I utilize an 'Example' notebook to aid in their revision process. This notebook serves as a valuable resource for them to revisit and reinforce the concepts covered during our sessions. Additionally, to familiarize them with exam-style questions and the expectations of exam boards, I incorporate relevant exercises to enhance their confidence and performance in examinations.

I am adaptable in my teaching methods, offering both online lessons via Zoom and face-to-face sessions, depending on the tutee's preferences and convenience. This flexibility ensures that students can access my tutoring services in a manner that suits them best.
