I am a passionate, dedicated subject matter expert with 15 years of experience tutoring GCSE maths, science (combined and triple) and English (literature and language, and A Level maths (pure and statistics) and A Level chemistry.
I have a PhD in chemical engineering and have taught English as a foreign language. I have also been a maths examiner for Edexcel, and have supervised university students in mechanical and chemical engineering labs.
I am patient, kind, and supportive while still maintaining high standards for learning. I believe the gift of education is the greatest gift you can give your child.
I have successfully guided many students through their GCSEs and A Levels, and I would be delighted to assist your child on their journey

My lessons start with a brief student lead discussion where I assess their understanding of the topic.
I will then work with the student to increase their knowledge using diagrams, equations, videos, games and questions.
I present the material in a coherent, easy to digest format where I am regularly questioning the student to ensure my explanations are making sense and being received well. I change up my style to best fit the student’s preferred learning.
I offer my students many opportunities to ask questions, and I make it clear to them that they can always ask for help or simply say that they do not understand. That I am here to help them specifically in any way they need.
Finally, the last portion of the lesson is spent on exam questions to make sure my students are comfortable with the topic and can demonstrate their knowledge confidently during exam time.
