My name is Angelo Giacopazzi and I have an Italian background. I love to travel and discover new cultures. I am passionate about teaching and language learning. I enjoy being active and spending time with friends and family.
I have been a Secondary School Languages Teacher for the past 8 years. I completed my PGCE during the 2012-2013 academic year and subsequently gained my QTS. Since qualifying I have worked in 3 schools teaching French, Spanish and Italian up to both GCSE and A Level.
The students in which I have taught have all gained a C and above in relation to the old GCSE and A Level specifications and most recently have gained a 5 or above in relation to the subjects in question.
I always try to improve my teaching and pedagogy by reading literature around my subjects as well as books on how to improve my teaching. I am currently reading 2 books entitled 'Leadership- all you need to know' and 'Teaching Modern Foreign Languages in the Secondary school'.
In relation to the students I encounter on a daily basis I ensure that I cater for the learning needs of everyone in the room by way of differentiating work, asking effective questions as well as providing more challenging work for the more able students. I am very patient with my students and I ensure that all of their questions are answered and needs met.
