I am an enthusiastic, patient and passionate teacher with 3 years experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2. I have worked extensively with children who have Special Educational Needs, such as Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia. I have also worked with children who are EAL learners and children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. I am able to confidently develop positive and trusting relationships with the children and families I work with. I have high expectations of all children and believe with the right support, patience and encouragement, all children can flourish.
I have experience teaching in Reception, Year 1, 2 and 3. I have also worked as a supply teacher and taught children across Key Stage 2.
I have also worked as a SEN teaching assistant.
I have experience implementing continuous provision, utilising sensory tasks and hands-on experiences and organising trips to local areas to support children with their learning.
I have a wealth of experience working with children who have SEND and SEMH needs, completing the necessary paperwork for children with SEND and undertaking assessments for children with dyslexia.
I prepare lessons which are engaging and enjoyable, while being tailored to meet my student's needs. Tutoring allows me to provide a personalised experience which focuses on the pupil's interests, so I may use games and other activities while working on their individual needs. I aim to teach with a focus on mental health and wellbeing to ensure that my pupil's confidence and self-esteem are also being supported.
