Hi everybody! I'm Anjanah, an English Literature graduate from the University of Exeter. I am a dedicated and highly motivated aspiring English teacher with a passion for the written word and imparting that knowledge onto the next generation of critical thinkers.
I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2020 with a BA in English Literature. I have an enhanced DBS Check and safeguarding training.
My tutoring methodology is holistic and varies from person to person, depending on their needs and personality. I aim to cultivate a positive and interactive learning environment for all of my students. I want to make their learning fun and engaging, encouraging them to read widely. I can teach them about essay structure, close analyses of texts, widening their vocabulary and helping them with any homework they have trouble completing. I want to make a point that I do not do their homework for them, as that would be a disservice to their own abilities. However, I can give them tips and tricks on how to achieve their desired grade, in addition to proofreading and spell-checking their work.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my dedication to supporting neurodivergent students. I firmly believe that every child deserves access to quality education tailored to their individual needs, and I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where neurodivergent students can thrive. Being neurodivergent myself, I am dedicated to helping these students unlock their potential and achieve their academic goals.
I am excited about the opportunity to work with new students and make a positive impact on their educational journey. Together, we can create a learning experience that is empowering, enriching, and tailored to the unique needs of each student.
