Hi, I'm Anna. An extremely experienced tutor with a great sense of humour, passion for the subject and an outstanding reputation for results. I teach how to get the required grade by using a range of strategies from structure and language keywords, scan reading, effective planning ,how acronyms help, to exactly what examiners are looking for in mark schemes and so much more.
I provide lessons that are interesting and thought provoking I guarantee that there is nothing dull about my lessons.
My GCSE lessons are well thought out to ensure maximum success. Please see my many reviews. In terms of school, college or independent learning, I offer many types of assistance
Let’s say ...a student needs help to write a thought provoking piece attached to an art A level. I regularly help with this type of work. Perhaps a pupil needs to write a EPQ but struggles with organisation and flow of their research. I can help with this.
Many students have SEND . I teach a wide variety of students and use a range of strategies that are the best fit for my pupils.
I have taught fabulous students, their friends, extended families all over the UK and internationally. It’s a great pleasure to help young people on their life journey.
A small list of popular schools I have helped gain entry to are :Brampton, Wellington ,Reston, St Mary’s,Sutton Grammar .Repton, Abbotsholme and Trent college. This covers a tiny fraction of the total.I am exceptionally au fait with all methodology and exam boards.
I enjoy making learning an extremely rewarding experience to the point where students themselves recommend me to other students because in their words ' Miss, I wish school lessons were like yours '
I am recommended and recognised across many local schools through word of mouth and recommendations from my past parents and students. I find this a huge compliment to my service and have found that I often have a waiting list for spaces.
A fully engaged student can and often has increased by 2 grades under my tutelage.
Many establishments send pupils to me for resits and this enables me to refocus the pupil and concentrate on the weakness area they failed their previous papers with.
I offer GCSE English from year 7 to 11, mainly at AQA and Edexcel . Additionally i have vast experience of WJEC , IGCSE, IGCSe C510 ESLand International exams.
Online lessons are vary interactive as we share the screen, we can plan and edit together, parents can observe the lesson and see learning in action.
I love my job. My rapport with my students and parents is very important to me.
As a professional tutor I am required to protect us both I operate a cancellation and notice period to ensure we both take our responsibilities seriously. I send this out for agreement prior to lesson commencement.
I enjoy helping students to improve planning and structure.
I give excellent feedback to parents too. Pupils take to me because I understand them and I can see how best to help them to learn.

OTHER TYPES OF LESSONS....
INTERVIEW COACHING
I have helped numerous people to apply for jobs and entangle the jargon of a job spec. Often clients don't realise the skills they have or how to frame them in an interview situation.
UCAS PERSONAL STATEMENT.
We can prepare for the university of your young adults choice by giving a bespoke, interesting perspective on their skills and ultimately''sell ' the candidate to gain a place at a revered university.
HOW I MOTIVATE YOU!
You don’t HAVE to love English in order to pass ! Just knowing the exact steps to take is essential. Learning how a paper is marked and what EXACTLY is needed to gain those marks is the key to success.
And for pupils looking for those higher marks, we look at use of technical features, vocabulary and metaphor. We craft a high level piece that can be replicated.
I give bi- weekly feedback to parents which includes suggestions of ways they can help the student between lessons.
HOW ABOUT PAYMENT, CANCELLATION AND NOTICE PERIOD?
All my lessons are weekly,I don’t offer bi- weekly lessons.
Payment is in advance or on the day not in arrears.
I have to charge for late cancellations within 24 hours for fairness to me.
Please allow two weeks to end a period of tuition to allow continuity of our lesson content.
