I graduated in 2023 with a first-class degree in English from the University of Oxford, where I studied literature from 650-2010. When I'm not tutoring, I spend as much time as I can reading and writing.
I have five years' experience tutoring English at 11+ and GCSE level, both online and in person. I have a strong understanding of the set texts and exam board requirements for both GCSE and A Level. I also provide mentoring for the ELAT, Oxford's entrance exam for English.
I'm a patient and supportive tutor, committed to engaging fully with each pupil and creating an environment that allows them to reach their full potential. I think it's important to work at the pupil's own pace, talking through difficulties and discussing ideas and thought processes as we go – this makes for an enjoyable, stimulating, and successful lesson!
