My love of languages took hold when I started learning Welsh in primary school and grasping the difficulties of Welsh pronunciation! This then led me to become incredibly passionate about French and later Spanish and German and the travel bug then started… I have lived and travelled in France, Spain and Latin America during my time at university to help both perfect my knowledge and understanding of the language yet also to ignite my love of Hispanic and French culture! I have taught from primary right through to A Level in a range of secondary schools in the UK and in a prestigious international school in Malaysia for two years as Head of Spanish.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught French and Spanish from primary (KS2) up to A-Level for many years. I taught in an international school in Malaysia where I was Head of Spanish and we taught the Cambridge iGCSE curriculum. I am proficient in teaching both GCSE and A-Level AQA specification and inclusion and SEND are always high on my agenda. I have recently finished tutoring a home schooled ASD student with great success. He really benefitted from the lessons tailored to his specific needs.

Tutoring Approach

I strongly advocate languages for all, and that language learning can really broaden horizons and open doors to various opportunities and understanding different cultures. I have taught English in both Spain and Italy and I would equally be happy to support a student to improve their English as a Foreign Language.
