Claire is the best tutor that I have ever had. She goes above and beyond to help understand chemistry and has helped me massively!

Claire is an excellent tutor that tailors the lessons to the child's ability, aiming to build confidence and address knowledge gaps. She is flexible, empathetic and very understanding. My daughter has been having lessons with Claire for several months now and I have seen her anxiety significantly reduced and her confidence in her understanding increase. I am very grateful to Claire and could not recommend her enough. She is an amazing tutor and person.

She’s a great tutor! Claire has made me understand topics that I was struggling on very well within an hour and also gave me lots of homework that was very useful when it came to my A level exam for Chemistry. She not just teaches what's in the lesson but also delves deeper with extra knowledge. She not only boosted my confidence for my upcoming exams but also provided me with a sense of self-assurance and belief in my abilities. I would absolutely recommend her without any hesitation.

My daughter has always struggled with passion and enthusiasm for Science, which meant that she never enjoyed learning and as a result this was a subject she struggled with. She has been having tuition with Claire for 5 months now and to be fair it has made a remarkable difference in her understanding which has reflected in her grades. Claire clearly has lots of skill, passion and is able to focus on teaching her what she needs to learn.
Claire is also very flexible in terms of teaching time which benefits my very social daughter who also works. We are both very grateful for finding Claire on First Tutors. Thank you Claire!

Claire is an excellent tutor and really lovely person who was able to connect with my son well . As she is an actual teacher aswell she knew what was required and made the lessons relevant to what he was studying .

Claire is a very good tutor. She has excellent subject and exam technique knowledge. Claire is helping my son with his Chemistry A’level. She is incredibly approachable, and he has really benefitted from their weekly online lessons. Her online lessons are very structured, engaging, and detailed, and well prepared. My son enjoys the lessons and is making good progress.

Claire is a great Science teacher with an ability to make the lessons interesting and engaging. She is helping my daughter with GCSE Science, and I can see her confidence growing.

Claire has been tutoring my daughter in Combined science for a few months now and she has always made the lesson's interesting and informative for Freya.
Freya sat her "Mock" exams last week and said that if she had not had Claire as her tuition she would off had no idea as to what some of the answers were on the paper.
Even though Claire has only been teaching freya for a few months there has been a marked Improvement in her knowledge and desire to learn the subject.

My daughter looks forward to her science sessions with Claire each week and is always very excited about what she has learned. She says that Claire explains things clearly and that she uses lots of interesting resources. I am delighted that we found Claire and plan to use her regularly over the next couple of years as my daughter prepares for her GCSEs.

Claire tutored my son who was doing the WJEC Double Science award in his GCSEs this summer. He found that she taught things in a very straight forward way and helped him with using the correct terminology and exam technique. His grades improved from a B/C to getting A*/A.

Claire is an excellent tutor. My 14 year old daughter, who is naturally shy, started experiencing anxiety during lessons since falling behind in science during the lockdown period. Claire has not only got her back on track, she is now excelling in both chemistry and physics and dare I say, she really enjoys both subjects. Claire is non judgemental, patient, upbeat and explains things in a relaxed and non-textbook style, I believe this is what works well for us. Would highly recommend.

Claire is an excellent tutor, she is calm and very well organised and always prompt and clear in answering my questions. She helped me for my IGCSE exams for Biology and Chemistry. I will follow up with her for my A level Chemistry next year! I am so happy to have met her!

Claire is really helping our son with his first year A level chemistry. He's always enjoyed the subject but seemed to struggle with tests which had worse grades than homework, hence looking for a tutor. He's grown in confidence and school test results are steadily improving, as has his target grade. He enjoys his lessons with Claire which are now a regular weekly fixture. At least one good thing coming our of this terrible pandemic is that we tried to find the right tutor for his needs rather than having to find someone who lives near us who might not have been great for him. We are delighted with the progress that my son is making with Claire. She covers all the work needed for AS Chemistry. Claire sets him work, is very encouraging and gives us good feedback on his progress. I would highly recommend her as a tutor.

Claire has been tutoring my 16 yr old son now for nearly four months.

Claire is such an excellent teacher. My son has been studying GCSE Chemistry with her and this has transformed his experience of the subject. Claire began tutoring my Y12 son during lockdown. He had been really struggling with Chemistry and was quite negative and discouraged about his studies. Lessons with Claire have completely turned him round. He is upbeat and enjoying learning again. Claire has been absolutely fantastic in supporting our son for his GCSEs and would highly recommend her. She is very professional and has an excellent way of engaging with pupils when tutoring. She has set appropriate and challenging work for him to complete each week resulting in him attaining very good projected grades. Our son really enjoyed his sessions with Claire and he has been pleased by the understanding and support she has provided for him in a subject he was struggling with but now really enjoys and understand well thanks to her support.

Claire gave our son Will weekly tutoring in Chemistry, after he had some disappointing AS-level results. She has been reliable and accommodating on the odd occasion we had to change our normal weekly slot. She has built Will's confidence right back up in chemistry. Will's understanding has clearly improved considerably, particularly in topic areas that he was struggling with. Now the A-level exams have been cancelled, we won't know exactly how much he has improved, but the tutoring will stand him in good stead when he goes on to University. Thanks Claire.

Claire is very friendly and approachable . My daughter Gemma is really enjoying her chemistry sessions with her. She emails Gemma work ready for the next lesson . Gemma is finding the sessions very helpful and is gaining confidence ready for her A levels . We’re lucky to have found her. Highly recommended.
