I currently work in a school as a Data Administrator and a Tutor. I am passionate about MFLs and love travelling and improving my competence in Italian (I currently study Italian online) as well as French and German (my degree languages).
I completed a MA in Translation last year, which included translating part of a book from French to English,. The book also included some Italian vocabulary to deal with.
I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching some Year 11 students this year and am very pleased with their GCSE results. As stated below, I am also experienced in teaching at nursery, primary, A level and adult education levels.
In my spare time I love dancing, yoga and tennis.
This academic year, I have tutored GCSE level students at the Blue School as part of the Government's Covid Academic Recovery Programme. Prior to this, I completed and passed an online tutoring course.
In the past, I have tutored all ages from 3 (nursery school) to 80 (I taught French at Adult Education classes. I have also tutored via the local French Club in primary schools and at home on a private basis.
My teaching approach depends on the level (i.e. exam or non-exam) and each personal child/adult. It would be relaxed for someone who just wanted conversation practice, but naturally stricter for GCSE/A Level students, however always with a sense of humour.
I would always recap at the start of each lesson and constantly check understanding. For the students at the school where I work. I liaise fully with the teachers.
