Maths and Physics Lessons in Bristol

Hi!

My name's Archie and I'm currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London.

I'm a huge advocator that maths can be an invaluable tool in anyone's life, and can also be enjoyable when approached in the right way. I have a great enjoyment for applying Mathematics to solve various problems, and an even bigger passion for sharing this with others.

I have a huge passion for motorsports, gym going, mountain biking and cars.

It has amazed me how much bettering my understanding has improved my understanding of these hobbies, from how a gym machine provides resistance in different ways to how a car's water pump pumps coolant. These mini 'discoveries' that I have made regarding my own interests have motivated both my search for higher education, and drive to become a tutor.

Tutoring Experience

I'm the eldest of four brothers and have spent a considerable amount of time helping and tutoring my siblings for maths and sciences. As an older brother patience and understanding come naturally to me.
In particular, one of my brothers is neurodivergent, which has taught me to take more out of the box or creative approaches to teaching.
I also dedicated time to helping my friends and family with Maths and Physics problems throughout A Levels.

Tutoring Approach

You can expect an engaging approach, making use of many examples and practice questions throughout the sessions. Whilst I do focus on a 'learning section' and 'practice section' in my sessions, I have found I have always learnt best when content has been continuously linked to a why through examples, so that's my preferred approach.

I make use of practical examples as well as the occasional analogies for all subjects, I believe this makes content more digestible when topics become more abstract or complex.
