I am an enthusiastic, passionate and driven individual with over 8 years experience working in the education sector in different capacities. My background is in Psychology and I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology and Counselling as well as a Masters in Child Psychology. More recently, I qualified as a teacher for English as a Foreign Language for both adults and children. I am really passionate about supporting children and adults to empower them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
• I have 4 years experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
including autism spectrum disorder, behavioural difficulties, learning
difficulties, and social and emotional difficulties that affect their capacity to
cope across daily activities
• I worked as a teaching assistant to support children on the autism
spectrum with their communication and interaction, cognition and learning,
and social and emotional difficulties
• As well as working in a classroom setting, I have also supported children on
the autism spectrum at an after-school club with the National Autistic Society. I
supported the implementation of creative activities including, but not limited
to, arts & crafts, music, games, and dance which encouraged social interaction
• I have over 2 years experience working in an international learning
organisation, supporting children with all ages and abilities with English and
Maths
• Furthermore, for 2 years I worked as a French language teaching assistant at a
French Play club. I supported children’s learning of the French language
through worksheets and interactive activities such as games and music
• I also had the opportunity to expand my experience by working abroad in Bali,
Indonesia on projects related to children’s development, special education
activity support, and English for development
• Through all of my work, I have always communicated and engaged with
parents on their child’s learning development which further contributed
towards the child’s learning and understanding of their work
• I start by building rapport with the students by getting to know
them at an individual level and asking what they would like to focus on and
gain from the lessons
• For the initial session, I will conduct an assessment to know which level they
are currently on, and from this I will set learning objectives and goals with
them. This will then be used to create tailored lesson plans for the students
which will include fun, creative and interactive activities using the online
platform, Zoom
• Homework will also be given to help reinforce their learning
• Assessments will be provided to track their progress along the way and I will
also provide regular feedback to students as they progress
• £35 for one hour or £20 for half an hour
